Kalash / Ghat Installation Method
Ghat Establishment Auspicious Muhurta (Surat-Gujarat):
02 April 2022 on Saturday from 06:31 am to 08:31
Abhijit Muhurta from 12:18 pm to 01:07 pm
According to Devi Purana, while worshiping Goddess Bhagwati, the Kalash / Ghat is established first. To establish Ghat means to make it work by invoking the energy element working in the universe during the period of Navratri. Due to the working power element, the distressing waves present in Vastu get destroyed completely. According to the scriptures, the Kalash is considered a symbol of happiness, prosperity, wealth and good wishes. Vishnu resides in the mouth of the Kalash, Rudra in the throat and Brahma in the root and in the middle of the Kalash reside the divine Mother Shaktis.
Chaitra Navratri starting from 02nd April, by taking this measure, students will become stunning ️

Few coins to keep in the vase
Pancharatna
5 leaves of Ashoka or Mango
Lid to cover the Kalash
Unbroken rice to keep in the lid
coconut water
red cloth for wrapping the coconut

method
First of all take an earthen pot for sowing barley. Spread a layer of soil in this pot. Now spread a layer of barley. Spread a layer of soil on top of it. Now again spread a layer of barley. Spread the barley on all sides so that the barley does not get buried under the kalash. Spread a layer of soil on top of it. Now tie Molly on the neck of the Kalash. Write Om and Swastika from Roli on the top of the Kalash. Now fill the Kalash with pure water, Gangajal till the throat. Put whole betel nut, durva, flowers in the kalash. Put some perfume in the vase. Put Pancharatna in the Kalash. Put some coins in the Kalash. Put five leaves of Ashoka or mango in the Kalash. Now close the mouth of the Kalash with the lid. Stuff the rice in the lid. According to the Srimad Devi Bhagavata Purana, “Panchpallavasyuktam Vedamantraih Susanskrit. Sutirthajalasampurnam hemaratnaih samyogamum” That is, the urn should be Panchpallavyukt, Sanskrit like Vedic mantras, full of water from the best pilgrimage and may be golden and Pancharatna.
Wrap the red cloth on the coconut and wrap the molly. Now place the coconut on the Kalash. It is mentioned in the scriptures: “Adho Mukham enemy Vivardhanaya, Urdhvasya Vastram Bahuroga Vridhyay. Prachimukham vit vinishnay, tastamat shubham sammukhnam naarikelam”. That is, keeping the face of the coconut facing downwards leads to an increase in the enemy. Keeping the face of the coconut upwards increases the diseases, while keeping the face of the coconut towards the east leads to destruction of wealth. Therefore, the establishment of coconut should always be done in such a way that its face should be towards the seeker. Keep in mind that the face of the coconut is at the end from which it is attached to the branch of the tree.
Now lift the urn and keep it in the middle of the barley pot. Now invoke all the deities in the Kalash. “O all the Gods and Goddesses and Mother Durga, may all of you come here for nine days.” Now worship the Kalash by lighting a lamp. Show the incense stick. Offer garland to the Kalash. Offer sweets to the Kalash. Dedicate perfume to the Kalash.
After the establishment of the Kalash, the outpost of Maa Durga is established.
A wooden post should be established on the first day of Navratri. After purifying it with Ganges water, a beautiful red cloth should be spread over it. It should be kept on the right side of the Kalash. After that a metal idol of Maa Bhagwati or a framed photo of Navdurga should be installed. In the absence of an idol, install a yantra containing Navarna Mantra. Maa Durga should fly red chunari. Pray to Maa Durga “O Maa Durga, you sit in this chowki for nine days.” After that, first of all show the lamp to the mother. After that dedicate incense, flower garland, perfume. Offer fruits and sweets.
In Navratri, there is a special significance of fasting Goddess Bhagwati for nine days and reciting Durga Saptashati every day. Every wish gets fulfilled. Gets rid of all troubles.
On the first day of Navratri, the Akhand Jyot is lit which keeps on burning for nine days. Keeping “Rice” under the lamp keeps the grace of Mother Lakshmi and keeping “Saptadhanya” removes all kinds of troubles.
It is considered best to worship the mother by sitting on the seat of a “red blanket”.
On the day of Navratri, Goddess Rani should be offered a necklace of flowers. Sweets should be offered to Mother Bhagwati by lighting a ghee lamp (use of gold, silver, bronze lamps is best for worshiping the mother). Man Bhagwati is very fond of perfume/attar.
Ghee, havan material, batasha, a pair of cloves, betel leaf, betel nut, camphor, google, cardamom, kismis, Kamalgatta should be offered every day during Navratri.
To get Lakshmi, keep 7 petals of betel leaves and roses in Navratri and offer them to Goddess Bhagwati.
Special bhog is offered to Maa Durga every day. We will tell in detail on which day which thing is to be offered.
Every day special worship of girls is done. According to the Srimad Devi Bhagwat Purana, “Ekaikan pujayet kanyamekavriddhya tathaiva ch. Dwigunam trigunam vapi eacham navkantu vaam” That is, worship one kumari every day or worship every single kumari in the order of increasing the number of kumaris or double and thrice daily and either worship nine kumari girls every day.
🙏🏻 If a person is unable to worship daily till Navratri, then he must worship especially on Ashtami tithi. In ancient times, the great Bhagwati Bhadrakali, who destroyed the sacrifice of Daksha, appeared on the Ashtami date along with crores of Yoginis.
