🌹 Why Ekadashi Fast?

🌹 Those who eat food for thirty days grow old quickly and become home to diseases. Keep fast one day in a week, otherwise you must keep fast on Ekadashi once in 15 days. But old people, children, pregnant women, pregnant women and those who have diabetes, those who are very weak, if they do not fast, then it will be fine. Or someone is weak and keeps a fast, then he should eat raisins. If you don’t want to fast, then eat gram and raisins or black grapes.

🌹 Putrada Ekadashi – 02 January 2023 🌹

🔸 Ekadashi is from 07:12 in the evening of 01 January to 08:23 in the night of 02 January.

🔹What to do and what not to do on Ekadashi?🔹

🌹1. Do not use wooden toothbrush and paste on Ekadashi. Chew lemon, jamun or mango leaves and clean your throat with your finger. Plucking a leaf from a tree is also prohibited, so eat the fallen leaves yourself.

🌹2. Recite Gita after bathing, recite Shri Vishnu Sahasranam.

🌹 Reciting Shri Vishnu Sahasranamam on every Ekadashi brings happiness and peace in the house.

Sahasranam Tattulyam Ramnam Varanne.

Recitation of this mantra on the day of Ekadashi gives the same virtue as chanting Shri Vishnu Sahasranamam.

🌹3. ‘Om Namo Bhagwate Vasudevay’ This twelve letter mantra or Guru mantra should be chanted.

🌹4. One should not talk to a thief, a hypocrite and a miscreant, remain silent as much as possible.

🌹5. On the day of Ekadashi, even by mistake, rice should not be eaten nor should it be fed to anyone. On this day, it is beneficial to eat fruit or live on home-made fruit juice or milk or water.

🌹6. Fasting (Dashami, Ekadashi and Dwadashi) – Bronze utensils, meat, onion, garlic, lentils, urad, gram, kodo (a type of paddy), vegetables, honey, oil and atyambupan (consumption of excess water) during these three days ) – Do not consume them.

🌹7. Fruit eaters should not consume cabbage, carrot, turnip, spinach, kulfa greens etc. Nectar fruits like mango, grapes, banana, almond, pistachio etc. should be consumed.

🌹8. Gambling, sleeping, paan, blasphemy, backbiting, theft, violence, sexual intercourse, anger and lying, hypocrisy etc. should be completely away from other misdeeds.

🌹9. If by mistake you talk to a slanderer, then to remove this fault, you should ask for forgiveness by worshiping Lord Hari with incense and lamp.

🌹10. Do not sweep the house on the day of Ekadashi. Due to this, there is a fear of death of micro-organisms like ants.

🌹11. do not have hair cut on this day .

🌹12. Donate food as much as you can on this day, but never accept food given by someone yourself.

🌹13. Jagran should be done in front of Lord Vishnu on the night of Ekadashi (Jagran till 1 am).

🌹14. The one who lights a lamp in the night while keeping vigil near Sri Hari, his virtue does not get destroyed even in a hundred Kalpas.

Posh Putrada Ekadashi

Ekadashi is considered to be the most important fast among the fasts. By keeping fast on Ekadashi regularly, the restlessness of the mind ends, wealth and health are attained. Problems like mental illness also go away from it. Ekadashi of Shukla Paksha in the month of Pausha is called Putrada Ekadashi. Lord Vishnu is worshiped on this day. Ekadashi of Paush month is considered very fruitful. By keeping this fast, every worry and problem related to children is solved. Paush Putrada Ekadashi will be celebrated on 02 January 2023 in the new year. According to beliefs, the people who fast on Ekadashi get happiness throughout their life and get salvation after life.

According to Udayatithi, Paush Putrada Ekadashi will be celebrated on 02 January 2023 only in the new year. Pausha Putrada Ekadashi will start on January 01, 2023 at 07:11 PM and end on January 02, 2023 at 08:23 PM. The Paran of Posh Putrada Ekadashi will be on January 03, 2023 from 07.12 am to 09.25 am.

Worship method of Putrada Ekadashi
Lord Vishnu is worshiped on the day of Pausha Putrada Ekadashi. Devotees should take only satvik food a day before fasting. Apart from this, the fasting woman or man should also observe restraint and celibacy. To start the fast the next day, wake up early in the morning, take a bath, and meditate on Lord Vishnu. Worship Lord Vishnu with Ganges water, basil leaves, flowers, panchamrit. Women or men observing the fast of Putrada Ekadashi should fast without water. If your health is not good, then after lighting the lamp in the evening, you can eat fruits. On the next day of fasting, on Dwadashi, feed a Brahmin person or any needy person.
