Atonement Chanting
The chanting which is done in the form of atonement in order to get rid of the sins and heat of the previous birth or whatever is there in this birth or to remove the effect of the accumulated nitya dosha is called atonement.

Some have committed a sin, some mistakes have been made, due to this there are some problems in the family or one has made a mistake from oneself and there is self-disturbing or in future, so that the punishment of that sin is not punished.
