Ten Types of Bath on the Festival of Raksha Bandhan
🙏🏻 In the month of Shravan, the full moon of Raksha Bandhan is 30 August 2023, Wednesday, ten types of bath have been described in the Vedas.

Gowraj Bath – Took some soil from the feet of the cows and applied it. Gavan Khurem comes in the Vedas, its name is Dashavid Snan. It is performed on the day of Raksha Bandhan. गवान खुरें निर्धुतं यद रेनु गग्नेगतं | Sirsa oil samyete mahapatak nashanam || If he put the soil of cow’s hoof on his head, then he would be destroyed. These Vedas say God.

Dhanya Snan – which our Gurudev tells about the Saptdhanya Snan. It is found in all the ashrams. These seven things are wheat, rice, barley, gram, sesame, urad and moong. Told this grain bath. धन्योशौधि मनुष्यानां जीवनं पर्मं स्मरतं तेन स्नानेन देवेश मम पापं व्यपोहटु | Saptadhan bath is also a law to be taken on the day of Poonam.

Fruit Bath – Veda God says fruit bath means put some juice of any fruit. If none else then Amla is the best fruit. Gooseberry will be green, otherwise take some powder of gooseberry and apply fruit bath. Means we get eternal fruit in our life and get rid of attachment to worldly fruit. That’s why today, on the full moon, O God, we are taking a little bath with the juice of the fruit. There is no loss if someone gets more fruits and if a little is planted.

Sarvoshaudhi Bath – Sarvoshaudhi means Ayurvedic medicine, not food. Many herbs come in this bath. Durva, mustard, turmeric, belpatra are put in it and a little powder is taken and bath is taken by rubbing it on the body. May all my senses, eyes, ears, nose, tongue, skin be pure. Bathing in it is the best medicine, and let my mind remain pure. Do not have bad thoughts towards anyone in my mind.

Kushodhak Bath – When it is clean, it is mixed with some water and some water is stirred. Because those who keep Kush in their house, no impure souls can come near them. The power of ghosts, devils etc. does not work. What is Kush? When God was incarnated as Varah on earth. So he started falling on the ground from his body, today he is found in the form of Kush, he is the most pure. Wherever that Kush is, if the impure soul does not come there, it runs away. So Kush shook a little in the water and prayed that all the dirty thoughts, dirty thoughts that come in my mind or come sometimes, go away. Hari ‘om … Hari ‘om … ‘om,… bathed him in water.

Hiranya Bath – Hiranya bath is considered if you have any gold item. He put some gold jewelry in the bucket, shook it and took a bath. After shaking, take it out so that it does not remain lying in the bucket.

🙏🏻 So this Dasavid Snan was told in the Vedas. It is performed on the full moon day of the month of Shravan. Make as many as youcan out of it. If you can’t do 1 – 2 then say Jai Siyaram… Lord! We did as much as we could.

🌷 नमामि गंगे तव पाद पंकजं सुरासुरैः वंदित दिव्यरूपं |
भुक्तिचं मुक्तिचं ददासनित्यं भावानुसारें न सारे न सदा स्मरानाम ||
गंगेच यमुनेच गोदावरी सरस्वती नर्मदे सिंधु कावेरी | जलस्म्ये सन्निधिं कुरु ||
ॐ ह्रीं गंगाय ॐ ह्रीं स्वाहा ||

🙏🏻 Take a bath remembering the holy places. So this great holy bath should be done in the morning on the day of Shravan Purnima (Raksha Bandhan) such is the order of the Vedas.
