🌷 Magh-Mauni Amavasya 🌷
➡ 21 January 2023 is Mauni Amavasya on Saturday.
🙏🏻 The new moon day of Magh month is called Mauni Amavasya. There are two assumptions for this nomenclature.
🙏🏻 One should remain silent on this day. Silence has originated from the word Muni. That’s why the person who ends this fast by keeping silence gets the post of Muni. On this day one should take bath in Prayag Sangam or holy river by keeping silence.
🙏🏻 It is believed that on this day Brahma ji started the creation of the universe by creating Swayambhuva Manu, that’s why this Amavasya is also called Mauni Amavasya.
🙏🏻 According to ‘Padma Purana’, the one who makes offerings to the ancestors with sesame and water before sunrise on the new moon day of the Krishna Paksha of Magh month, enjoys inexhaustible happiness in heaven. The one who makes a sesame cow and donates it along with all the materials on that date, he is free from the sins of seven births and is a part of the eternal happiness in heaven. Even by giving edible food to a Brahmin one attains the inexhaustible heaven. Lakshmi never leaves the one who donates grains, clothes, house etc. to the best Brahmin.

💥 * Gupt Navratri starts from 22 January 2023 ||
🙏🏻 On the day of Mauni Amavasya, light a lamp in the south direction in the name of ancestors at the main door of the house. It is from the south direction that ancestors come to the earth. Along with this, make a roti by mixing sesame seeds in the flour and feed it to the cow. By doing this, along with happiness and peace, prosperity also remains in the house and the blessings of the ancestors also remain.
🙏🏻 On this day Pitru Puja, Shraddha, Tarpan, Pind Daan, Narayani etc can be performed. Although every Amavasya is special for Pitra Karma, but due to Ugadi Tithi and Makarastha Ravi, the importance of Mauni Amavasya is more. If you are suffering from Pitridosh or you feel that no one in your father, mother or Guru’s family has attained good speed, then definitely do Tarpan (especially on the banks of Ganga) today.
See your shadow in milk on Mauni Amavasya Tithi, then give that milk to a black dog. By doing this, one gets freedom from the inauspicious effects of the planets and attains health. Also, light a lamp of cow’s ghee in the north-east corner of the house in the evening, but keep in mind that instead of cotton, there should be a red colored thread. Also put saffron in the lamp, by doing this Goddess Lakshmi enters the house.
🙏🏻 If you are lucky enough to go for Ganga bath on this day, there are many rituals other than tarpan. There is a statement of Lord Shiva in Skandpuran.
Worshiping Peepal on the day of Mauni Amavasya is considered very auspicious. It is believed that Vishnuji resides in the root of Peepal, Shivji in the trunk and Brahmaji in the front. That’s why worshiping and circumambulating Peepal on the new moon day increases happiness and good fortune. Along with this, worship Tulsi and also offer water along with milk to Sun God. By doing this poverty goes away.
🙏🏻 The one who pours honeyed kheer with jaggery, ghee and sesame in the Ganges with devotion for the purpose of ancestors, his ancestors remain satisfied for a hundred years and they satisfy their children and provide different types of desired things.
🙏🏻 Those who bathe Shivling with Ganga water for the purpose of ancestors, their ancestors get satisfied even if they are lying in heavy hell.
🙏🏻 Those who offer Arghya to Lord Surya even once with Ganges water kept in a copper vessel containing eight ingredients (water, milk, Kush’s foreleg, ghee, honey, cow’s curd, red kaner and red sandalwood), they along with their forefathers They become prestigious by going to Suryalok.
🙏🏻 The one who does Pinddaan even once on the banks of the Ganges, he saves his ancestors from Bhavsagar by the water mixed with sesame.
🙏🏻 Father/mother/guru/brother/friend/relative in any family has died in any way, in any condition (whether due to fire or poison or self-immolation or any other way of death) salvation of all ancestors is possible today. Is.
🙏🏻 Magh Krishna Paksha’s Amavasya is the Ugadi date. That is, on this date one of the four eras started. According to Skandpuran, “Maghe Panchdashi Krishna Dwaparadi: Smrita Budhaih” is the beginning date of Dwapar while some scholars consider it as the starting date of Kaliyuga. Ugadi dates are very auspicious, chanting, penance, meditation, bath, donation, yagya, havan done on this day gives manifold results.

There is fruit, it is obtained by one day’s donation in Yugadi-period.
Chaturdashi and Amavasya dates have been considered special because of the importance of donating sesame seeds in the month of Magh. For the happiness of the forefathers, good progress and progress, offering with black sesame seeds is especially beneficial.
Make roti by mixing sesame seeds in the cow’s flour and feed it to the cow.
🙏🏻 On this day, fire should be lit for the consumption of saints, Mahatma and Brahmins and they should be given winter clothes like quilts, blankets etc. On this day modaks should be made by mixing black sesame seeds in jaggery and it is better to tie them in a red cloth and give them to Brahmins. On this holy festival, after feeding the Brahmins with different types of Naivedya, Mishtanadi Shatras dishes, after satisfying them with Dravya Dakshinaadi, they should be sent off with respect.
🙏🏻 Donation of green fodder, skin, bran, husk, jaggery etc. should be done for the cows in the Gaushala and prostration should be done by keeping the feet of the cow on the head.
🙏🏻 Worship Brahmadev and Gayatri after morning bath on Maghi Amavasya. Donate cow, gold, umbrella, clothes, bed, mirror etc. to a Brahmin with chanting. Eat food with Brahmins and family members with a pure spirit. On this day, circumambulate the Peepal and donate lamps. Those for whom it is not possible to fast on this day should eat sweet food.
In the evening, light a lamp of cow’s ghee in the north-east corner of the house. Use red colored thread instead of cotton in the light. Also put some saffron in the lamp. This is the way to please Goddess Lakshmi.
🙏🏻 There is also special importance of feeding hungry animals on the day of Mauni Amavasya. On this day, after taking bath etc. in the morning, make balls of flour. Keep chanting the name of God while making pills. After this go to a nearby pond or river and feed these flour pills to the fishes. This remedy can end many problems in your life. Feed flour mixed with sugar to ants on the new moon day. By doing this, your sinful deeds will be destroyed and good deeds will rise. These good deeds will help in fulfilling your wishes.
