🌷 Magh Krishna Chaturthi / Sankashti Chaturthi / Sankat Chauth 🌷
➡ Magh Krishna Chaturthi, Sankat Chauth, Sankashti Chaturthi is the festival on Tuesday, January 10, 2023. This Chaturthi is also known as ‘Maghi Krishna Chaturthi’, ‘Tilchauth’, ‘Vakratundi Chaturthi’.
🙏🏻 On this day there is a ritual of worshiping Lord Ganesha and Sankat Mata. Sankashta means ‘trouble or trouble’, ‘Kashta’ means ‘tribulation’, Sam signifies its excess. Today it is possible to get rid of any kind of crisis, suffering. Fasting is observed on this day. Begin this fast by making a resolution ‘Ganpatipreetaye Sankashtachaturthivratam karishye’. Offer Arghya after worshiping Ganesha in the evening and the moon at the time of moonrise.

Maghakrishna Chaturthyan Tu Sankashtavratamuchyate. Tatropvasam Sankalpya fast according to rules. 113–72.
Chandrodayambhivyapya Tisthetprayatmanasah. Tatashchandrodaye get mrunmayam gannayakam. 113–73.
Vidhay Vinyasetpeethe Sayudhan Cha Savahanam. Remedy: Shodashabhi: Sambhyarchya Vidhantah. 113–74.
Modakam Chapi Naivedyam Sagudam Tilakuttakam. Tato’rghya Tamraje Patre Rakta Chandan Mixritam. 113–75.

🙏🏻 Magh Krishna Chaturthi is called ‘Sankashtavvrat’. Taking the resolution of fasting in it, the fasting should be done regularly from morning till moonrise. Control your mind. On moonrise, make an idol of Ganesh made of clay and install it on the generation. Along with Ganesha, his weapons and vehicles should also be there. Establish Ganesha in the soil and worship him methodically with Shodshopachar. Then offer Naivedya of sesame laddoos made of modak and jaggery.
After that collect red sandalwood, kush, durva, flowers, akshat, shamipatra, curd and water in a copper vessel and chant the following mantra and offer them to the moon –
Gaganarnavamanikya Chandra Dakshayanipate.
Gharhanarghya Maya Dattan Ganesh Pratirupak ॥
‘Manikya of the ocean in the form of sky, beloved of Daksh Kanya Rohini and moon in the form of Ganesha! You accept this Arghya given by me.
In this way, after offering this divine and sin-destroying Arghya to Ganesh ji, after providing food to the best Brahmins as per your capacity, take his permission and eat yourself. Brahmin! In this way, by following the auspicious ‘Sankashtavavrata’, a man is enriched with wealth and grains. He never gets in trouble.

👉🏻 What to do today
➡ 1. Recitation of Ganapati Atharvashirsha will be very auspicious.
➡ 2. After bathing with milk (raw), Panchamrit, Gangajal, dedicating flowers, clothes etc. to Lord Ganesha, make sure to offer sesame and jaggery laddoos, durva. Keep the number of laddoos 11 or 21. Lord Ganesha loves Modak (Laddu), Durva grass and red colored flowers.
