Bharani Shradh is on 14th September 2022 due to being Bharani Nakshatra on Wednesday. Bharani Shradh has special significance as the deity of Bharani Nakshatra is Yamraj. Generally, Bharani Nakshatra comes on Chaturthi or Panchami in Ashwin Pitru Paksha (Bhadrapada according to Gujarat and Maharashtra). It is said that the journey of Lok-Lokantar, the cause of birth, death and re-birth is near Bharani Nakshatra, so by performing Shradh on the day of Bharani Nakshatra, the ancestors get salvation. Wherever Shradh is performed in Mahabharani Shradh, the result is equal to Gaya Shradh. Everyone can do this Shradh.
By performing Shradh in Bharani Nakshatra, the performer gets good life.
Donating black sesame and cow to a Brahmin in Bharani Nakshatra gives salvation and reduces suffering.
